Before you click on it. Let me explain something real quick. Most of you know that me and Jo enjoy Offroading very much. Most of the areas we used to go to and camp have been closed because some people think we are tearing it up. I am not trying to be Political here and start a slam on Enviromentalist's. I just thought that some of you might enjoy the way this was put together.

I thought it was great. My husband and I have a big jeep (ugliest thing I have ever seen) that we take up to the camp during the spring and summer (non hunting season). We bring the kids to the creek and the "boys" take off into the woods. They love it. We bring coolers of food, grills and just hang out with no tvs or technology. We have even brought the paint ball equipment and played around while the grandparents hung out with the little ones. We have 3 generations that love to do this. No distractions, no worries. When we get up in that area, people we only see during those times become long lost friends and we recap what has been going on since our last visit. Just like that video portrayed. I plan on showing it to my husband.
Thanks

You will never make everyone happy and, IMO, there IS a way to strike a balance between preserving and recreation. Just a matter of everyone trying to work together. I teach my kids that what we tear apart (if anything), we should try to fix. When we do go through the woods, we use premade trails and are very respectful of personal property. The area we go to is a "hunting camp" made up of private owners who allow it. Everyone on that land has been given permission to go through the gates and have been told where the boundaries are. Anyone abusing the land are no longer given a key into the gates. We don't go out there during the hunting season due to us having little kids. When we do our paintballing, we make sure adults that aren't participating are with the kids and far away from us. Like I said, there is a balance. I don't know how to reach it but there has got to be a way. Basically, I justs love being out there. The creeks are beautiful and other than the mosquitos, we enjoy ourselves.

We like to wheel, too! DH more so than me. He likes the extreme stuff, I just like to get back to nature.
Here's our latest project (http://community.webshots.com/photo/234568533/240305130QtLjms)
It's currently stock, with the exception of a detached sway bar and detroit locker in the rear. But, in the future he will do a solid-axle conversion as well as a V-8 swap.
