View Full Version : "Ham chowder" - as mentioned in 12/19 chat

This is something I concocted about 6 weeks ago, and it has become a very popular menu addition at home and for school potlucks.

Ham Chowder
6 to 8 redskinned potatoes, diced - cover, and cook in enough water to cover. Do not drain.

Add: 3 to 4 cups diced cooked ham
2 15 oz. cans LeSeuer peas (in silver foil can), or other baby peas
2 10 3/4 oz. cans of Campbell's Cheddar cheese soup/sauce - do not add milk

Heat thoroughly. I have also cooked the potatoes and then done the rest in a crockpot on low for the day. Serves about 6 to 8.

Sounds like a great way to use up leftover leg ham!

I will definitely print it out and give it a try! (maybe when the weather cools down a bit, though :D)
