I know this is no big deal for our northern DBBers, but a white Christmas in Houston is unheard of! :yikes: I haven't seen a white Christmas since before I moved here in 1978. This is the first snow in Houston since 1986. It was so exciting! The puppers, however, were less impressed. Cash was the only one that would even go out in it. Miller ran out and door, hit the falling snow and made an immediate Uturn to go back in! We had fun playing in it. My husband even BBQed in the snow! Only in Texas!

How exicting for you, it must seem like a "real" Christmas as in the photos from up north. Too funny about your furkids though, don't blame 'em it's way too cold. :D

Mine were less than impressed with the snow earlier in the week. Some of which is still on the ground....they don't like the 16 degrees this AM either... But for us Humans white Christmases are a big treat!

Well, we only have a tiny bit of snow this morning. :( The puppers still aren't happy with the 35 degree temps! It's supposed to get up to mid 40's by noon. Probably still won't be warm enough for them.

Something about snow falling on Christmas is just special. But when you never get it otherwise I would be thrilled to have it too. I just can't handle it when it doesn't snow around the holidays. It would be nice if it would stay off my driveway though. Especailly the apron after the snowplows go through. We have the city town and state trucks that all turn around in front of our driveway! HO Ho
UGH! :faint:

Poor babies . . .

I drove through extreme south Texas, NM and AZ a number of years ago and there was one morning there was 1/4 to 1/2" of snow on the roads. I drive like "no big deal", but the area natives were in ditches, on lawns etc. and had no idea how to drive in it. :D What fun! :)

We hope all you DBBers survive this snow and cold OK. :bounce:

Your snow won't last much longer! We have 31 here and such dense fog, that it took Rick extra time to drive in from Oregon. He was supposed to make it in by 8 p.m. last night - with all the fog in the Central Valley, he finally made it home at 4:40 this morning!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I know what you mean, Mark. I lived in the mountains in Utah for a number of years and learned to drive in snow. They have absolutely no idea here. All these 4 wheel drives and nobody knows how to drive in bad weather! :dizzy: It is pretty funny!

Christmas here too, but just got the extreme cold instead.
Never thought I would say I wanted snow, but for one day out of the year, I would not mind.
ALthough the drivers here would surely kill each other. I have never seen such awful driving until coming here.
Glad you got a white Christmas Patrice.
