I am sure all of you have read or heard about the devastation in India, Africa, Thailand, Sri Lanka and that entire area. Mother Nature is an awesome and powerful force. And in this case, quite deadly. Most of my Mother's family is from Northern Thailand. A small village where poverty is all they know. Many of the younger people go to tourist areas to work and send the money home to the village to help out. A cousin of mine works on PiPi Island at one of the resorts. He is missing. Please say a prayer and keep him and all the others who have died, are missing or have lost loved ones in your thoughts.

Thank You.

Better news for me: my cousin was not there. :faint: He was on his way back to Bangkok which is why he was incommunicado. He is fine. However, I see the death toll has risen throughout all the areas affected. :crying:

Oh Carrol...I'm so glad to hear your cousin was alright. The devastation has just been massive and the danger to come is just as frightening.

We've just targeted a large donation to the Red Cross/Red Crescent to help with relief efforts.

:hug2:

More  for everyone involved in all of this.

I am so glad your relatives are fine, but the news is so bad with all those who died and all the devastation. I have been to many of those places and there just is not any where to go when a tsunami hits.

I'm glad to hear that your cousing is fine. I'm sorry to hear of the devastation, though. I noticed one city was totally devastated with only a few survivors. Where it once was a thriving and bustling city, it is now considered a dead city.
