Otis's first Christmas

Otis had a happy holiday at my brother's house. They have six children and he did very well in such a busy house. It was difficult to take him out to do his duties, as it was -25! His little paws would just freeze up!! Otis was happy to receive two Christmas gifts from my ten year old niece. One was a purse (!) filled with all kinds of helpful things like anti-aging cream, dice, (for gambling?) odds and ends, and a beautiful poem to Otis. My niece is IN LOVE
with Otis! Do you think we have a future dachshund owner on our hands??

Oh, that is so funny - a purse! Bugsy got his first piece of mail yesterday. It was a gift too. My aunt sent it to him for New Year's. It's a book called Caninestein. It's supposed to help you determine how intelligent your dog is. Well, Bugsy failed the first test so I'm just going to read ahead for now before I test him anymore.
