Santa brought me a Little Green Carpet Cleaning Machine for Christmas... Yeah!! But... I used to today for the first time and it leaks water from the solution tank... what am I doing wrong? There isn't anything in the instruction book about this type of problem. My one guess is that it might have something to do with the O ring that is part of the cap on the solution tank. When I took the cap off I found the O ring on the counter and am not sure exactly where it came from.... any suggestions??

I have one and I bought Chapos mom one. Mine only leaks a little when we leave the unit sitting there with the solution in it over night. If it leaks a lot I would take it back and get another one. It shouldn't leak a lot. I have a large Hoover steam cleaner and it also leaks slightly. You have to make sure the tank is dropped in tight.

Here's a pic of ours and it doesn't leak. Is this what you're talking about? There's 1 large o-ring and another small one toward the top.

Not sure what you mean by O ring. Mine doesn't have any kind of a rubber seal for the solution tank if that's what your asking. It does have a screw on cap with a hole (like an O ring) that you screw on around the piece with the thin tube on it. Make sure that is tight. The piece with the tube should fall out of the tank without the screw on cap with the hole in it. Check to make sure the + sign looking thing on the piece with the tube isn't depressed. If it is, it could be clogged with something. It should be flush. I guess I'd have to talk to you if this all isn't making sense or maybe we have different machines. You can try a piece of plastic wrap with a hole in it and use that on top of the screw cap for a tighter seal. I sometimes use a small piece of wrap on water bottles that leak.
Hope that helps! If not, PM me your phone number and I'll call you later!

Thanks for the picture Hope. That is how mine looks... guess I'm going to have to bring it back to Home Depot. :( At least my dad sent me the money for it and I bought it myself so I have the receipt.
Thanks all for the responses.
Aside from the leaking it cleans great!

Thats the 'piece with the tube' i was talking about! It should have a cap that fits over it (O ring?) that screws onto the solution tank holding that piece in place.
Is it leaking around the cap or the area where the solution is supposed to come out?
