Maddie Actually PLAYED & wallered a toy!

This is one happy mommy speaking here. As with many rescue puppers, there is a lack of knowledge on their part on how to play. Dolly has really started coming out of her shell these last couple of months and I was beginning to wonder when my Madderoo was going to "learn" how to play. In fact, I was thinking of posting a question on this subject. Well, last night, as usual, Maddie and I were in the upstairs hallway with me on the floor with her. I was trying to get her interested in the hedgehog that Auntie Clarese brought on her visit. All Madddie wanted to do was to snuggle under the mommy bridge. I kept at it for about 10 minutes and then it happened! I started throwing it just a little ways. She started going after it. Wasn't long before she was chasing Mr. Hedgehog the length of the hallway and shaking and wallering it in her wake. It was sooooo cute! Hope she will be interested in tonight's play session!

Hooray for Maddie! These stories make me feel so sad, though. I picture what my Annie would have been like in a puppy mill, and it just kills me.
