We've mentioned the Voice for the Voiceless July 2 rally on another thread.

I'm wondering how we might be supportive & even enlarge this. Anyone interested in going to Wash DC on July 2? I'm willing to meet a few of you (us) there.

Also the rally is asking everyone to wear purple ribbons on that day. What do you think about sort of standardizing the purple ribbons much like red ribbons are symbolic of AIDS sympathy?

Georgette,

I went into the site. I think this is a great thing. I would love to go down to DcC and rally but I will be on a plane to Hawaii to visit my hubby's family.

I like the purple ribbon idea, The more people that speak out for the "voiceless" the more they (the cruel, the goverment, USDA ect>>>>) will have to listen http://dachsie.org/ubb/mad.gif

I won't be able to make it to D.C. either, though I would love to go -- it's one of my favorite cities.

A handful of us from our nopuppymills_co group got together on Sunday to begin the design for our own brochures to hand out on July 2nd. Our thoughts were that the purple ribbons would continue on as a sign of support against puppymills. With that in mind, we came up with some other ideas of things we might do when handing out literature.

One of the ideas I liked best were stickers. (Created out of simple address labels.) I know my daughter will wear just about any sticker on her shirt, especially if it might help save the life of even one puppy. Plus, in a smaller size, the design can be used to stick on snail-mail envelopes -- yet another way to get the word out!

So I sat down today and created a few prototypes. These all use the "End the Misery" theme, but could just as well use "Puppy Mills Breed Misery" or the like...

I thought I might share one of them. If any of you have other ideas, I would greatly appreciate them! (If you would like to see the entire page of stickers, click on the image.)
