View Full Version : Roll Out The Belly!

And we'll give that belly a rub! (sung to roll out the barrel) Miss Dolly was in fine form this morning. Every morning it's the same thing. That lazy hound dawg refuses to get up until she gets her "beddy rub". Well, this morning, she was really lovin' those rubs on the "beddy" and the accomanying "zerberts". I'd say "OK. Up now." She'd bounce right up and I'd go to take her to put her down on the floor and the little jelly fish would flop back down on her back for more attention to the "beddy". This went on and ON until mommy (that would be me) just had to be stronger and wrassle her into a hold position to transport her safely to the floor. I bet there's lots of doggers out there who love their belly rub time. Let's hear from you!

I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only doxie mom that goes thru that every day all day long. I have three doxies and Tyler is the worst with this. If he is sitting still or laying somewhere, and you come toward him, he immediatly flops over to his back. Especially when he's on my bed. I have to wrestle him to an up-right position to get him down, just like you were saying.

My other two wait until you give them a neck rub before flipping over to get the other side. What a hard life they live....!!<IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm37.gif" border=0> <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm2.gif" border=0> <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm29.gif" border=0> <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm30.gif" border=0> <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm27.gif" border=0> <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm26.gif" border=0>

Glad to know I dont have the only demanding and sleep dachsie!
If Oscar sleeps in bed with us, I have to drag him out of bed to take him out. And he'll do all this cute stuff first, getting on his back and streaching - oh it just kills me!

Yep, same here with Shelbie. Tickle tummy, then carry her downstairs for breakfast (if I'm lucky I get one of those adorable loud dachsie yawns followed by a "morning Mum" kiss on the cheek!

Greetings! I have 3 weiner dogs who run my life. All minis. All mighty! My dear Molly is a rollover baby, too. And...she also moves her paws so she looks as if she is bicycle riding. Is that a hoot or what? My family and I go absolutely "nuts" when we call her to go outside and...she rolls over with the bicycle paws!!!! We just pick her up like a sack of spuds and off she goes.

Lili is a flipper also. Just look at her and she flips over for the belly rubs and kisses. Who could wake up in a bad mood when greeted by such sweetness. After a fast trip outside and a bit of breakfast she heads back to bed when I'm in the process of making it up. We have to take time for more "lovin'" and singing lessons. Shirley and Lili

Sometimes I see a tiny black nose sticking out from under the blankie, and when I approach Wotan rolls over and wiggles his frito feeties at me...

He also goes out (with me only) then zooms back into bed and zonks out again.

Dukey's Mom

This is funny, the only one of mine that really does it is Dukey. First, Dukey is not a morning puppy! When I say " ok, time to go out" he immediately flips on his back flipping his front paws around. He has to have his belly rubbed before we get him off the bed. He has done this since he was a baby!
