Maddie raises her paw to this one! The "babying" starts usually when I'm at the computer and Miss you-know-who wants attention. So of course, I oblige and pick the baby up and then flip her on her back and cradle her on my left arm petting the upturned tummy, chest and frito feeties with my right hand. She LOVES it and will get the tongue flicking motion going which is a real sign she's in bliss. This position also makes for some wonderful zerberts to the neck area. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/bounce.gif

My Sadie sure loves to be held like a baby. There's just something about dachsies that make them so baby-able! I suppose though that she doesn't mind how she's being held, as long as sheIS being held http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

Shelbie loves to be cuddled especially if I tell her a story at the same time that starts "Once upon a time, there was a beautiful Princess called Shelbie who lived in a big castle in North London....." I get a big kiss on the nose for that!!

My Pup, Opal, Loves to be held like a baby, even wrapped in a blanket like one too. I just figured it was because she was bottle fed from when she was four days old by her breeder and was used to this position. I guess other Doxies love it too.. I have pictures of Opal wrapped up like a Papoose just as happy as a clam in a shell. Its so cute I can barely take it....

Buddy loves to be held like a baby and rocked. Aug lives it for a while, then He'd rather curl up on the couch.

Isobel doesn't like being held on her back, but she loooves when I hold her in my arms and allow her paws and head to drape over my right shoulder. Not the left. Only the right one. Oh, and we have to have the rocking motion to go with it as I sing little dachsie lullabye songs. (sigh) Do you think she's spoiled?

This isnt Opal wrapped up like a Chulupa, but its her, last month in her favorite position. I have no idea why my finger was in her mouth, but I love how she curls her lips over her teeth so she doesnt bite me. I wish she would stay a puppy forever - a house broken puppy who doesnt chew laces off shoes, but a puppy none the less.
