A dear friend of mine got me a copy of The Ugly Dachshund for Christmas. It is hilarious, I have never seen it before.

My Dottie is definitely Chloe in the movie.

I watched it for the second time by myself, and was cracking up!

Yes, I own the video. We've always been a dacshie family and years ago, my mom got it on video for me. It is very funny! I always fee bad for the Great Dane...he's so misunderstood.

I've heard of the movie but have never it seen. it looks cute. I've seen it on ebay, some are quite expensive.

This IS a good movie. We tried to buy it, but it is no longer in production....Those of you who have it feel very lucky. I would love to have a copy of it if I could find it at a reasonable price.

The Dachsies in the movie are hysterical, they run circles aroung the great dane, and The dane thinks he is a dachsie.

They wreak havoc for this poor couple. Not that our kids would!

GREAT movie! I couldn't find it for purchase and wanted to buy it. Everywhere I went said it was out of print. My neighbor's copy broke, so she rented it for me at Video Update. All video stores don't carry it, but it was so much fun watching it with the kids and with Otis!

I'll have to keep checking with Amazon. Thanks for the tip.

I'm proud to say that not only do I have it, but my girls watch it for longer periods than anything else on the "black box", except "The Golden Jackals" on Animal Planet. You may also be interested in "Bachelor Flat" - Tuesday Weld, Terry-Thomas, Richard Beymer, and introducing "Jessica Dcahshund", as a dachsie who makes off with a dinosaur bone. Someone in the doxie chat room told me a dachsie is in the movie "Bonfire of the Vanities", too.

I watched it for the 3rd time last weekend. All of us can relate that are owned by the Dachsies.

I was cracking up yet again, and my husband,at this point, thinks I need help.
