mortimer and the big dogs...

the neighbors behind my dad's house have 2 big dogs. thankfully the yard is fenced. i let mortimer run around and when she saw the dogs, all h*** broke loose!! she ran up to the fence and tried to stick her nose through to bit the dogs, she barked and ran back and forth to scare the dogs. the funny part was that the dogs just sat and watched her in amusement. they never made a sound. they just watched her flip out!! she's great for a laugh!

Ah, but can that beat the little 8lb munchkin I took to his forever home on a horse farm. his new mommy took him out on lead to meet the horses and he started barking his little head off. The horses just looked at him like "what the heck are you doing...." Of course, these are the same horses that let the cats climb their tails...

I love the way most big dogs act with our Annie! Our neighbors across the street have a shepherd mix that Annie first met when Annie was a tiny puppy. The shepherd, Lady, isn't usually too thrilled with small dogs, but she's always been SO gentle with ours. When they see each other, Lady still smashes her body down to the ground to make herself small for Annie.

I am ashamed to admit, that my normally well behaved Rudy barks his fool head off and lunges in attack mode at any large dog with stand-up ears <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm26.gif" border=0> .

We are puppysitting a 6 mos old Golden girl this weekend. She is a real lover and I hope that Rudy can handle her. Her ears don't stand up http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/wink.gif.

There are 2 rag mop dogs a couple doors down that I'm sure she would EAT given the opportunity. She's downright embarrassing <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm41.gif" border=0>.
