Since I work for the City I know all the people who work at City Hall. When I 1st got Mitzi Moo I took her in to see all of the girls. Today I had to register her and they all wanted me to bring her in with me so they could see her again. I was a little worried because at 7 months Mitzi is going through a barking stage (will she ever grow out of it??) and barks at everything and anything and mostly nothing at all. Plus I wasn't sure how she would do around strangers in a strange place (she does really good around people at our house.) But she was wonderful. She wasn't scared of the people at all in fact was went crazy trying to kiss everyone who talked to her and held (if you can call it that with her long wiggling body) her. She was such a good girl and here is the kicker she only barked a couple of times and stopped when I told her to. Now how to get her to like other dogs (we don't have that many in our neighborhood and we don't have a store that allows dogs to shop with there owners. I was so proud of my sweetie.
Of course everyone loved her and thought she was soooo cute.<IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm12.gif" border=0>

Yeah Mitzi!

Jakey has always barked at other people and dogs..until he realizes that they are good to play with and for cuddles....no matter how many times he is around them.

During the summer we got to a dachshund playgroup every week and Jake would have to bark when someone first got there.....he's 1 1/2 yrs. now....and he still does it! We just have to keep working on the "no bark" command.
