I doubt you all remember the huge, spikey ball that we had last summer. Buddy would be entertained for hours herding it all over the yard. Well, it suffered a quick, quiet death when it rolled into the exhaust of my husbands lawn tractor. No, it was not being played with at the time. We don't mix the tractor with doggies or kid. Hubby parked the tractor in the garage and the ball happened to roll into it. I have search for a new ball for Buddy, he is so obsessed with balls and I think he really misses his spikey ball. Please don't EVER try to search for spikey ball on the internet! Haha!!
We weren't able to find a spikey one, but we did find these http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod_Display.cfm?pcatid=613&inm=1&N=2001+113117+113564 and they arrived today. I got him a 12" in red for outdoors and a 6" in orange for indoors. Probably should have gotten him a 5" as well. It is far too cold today (high of 19 on my truck thermometer with the engine hot - not including the wind chill which is brutal!) to test it outside so we've only tried out the smaller ball. Buddy has spent the past 2 1/2 hours chasing this thing around the house. The two of them sound like a freight train going around on my hardwood floors! It is a great ball! It is very hard, gonna have to make sure the kids know not to throw it, it could easily break something. But definately not something he will be able to chew holes in. Hard as a rock, he has been 'herding' it all over, whining, scratching and crying at it. Too funny. He just went in to plop down in front of the fire for a nap.
