Well, they had the chance to serve and protect, but did they???? NOOOOOOOO! The enemy was afoot with its feet right on the patio and did those weeners sound the alarm??? NOOOOOOOO! We thought we had the most up-to-date kittycat alarms that can be had but NOOOOOO! They were more interested in what mommy was makin' (which they knew was bacon) for breakfast. Now my poor hubby is walking around in a stupored glaze daze because he now feels soooo unsafe from those villianous kittycats. Yep, that kitters was just meandering about the patio and no one was on the watch. I bet he (the kitty) went back to his kittycat buds and reported his initiation dare has been accomplished and he can now be sworn into the Brave Kittycat What Can A Doglet Do To Me club while on the other side of the fence, my poor hubby is a shaking bowl of nerves because his trust in our top notch alarm system has been shattered. Given the choice between possibly snatching a sliver of bacon and barking at some cat; it would be against the most basic of Dachshund rules and regs to go for the cat!http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/book.gif

They sleep together and play together and eat out of the same bowl. They love to wrestle. WE think it is funny because we thought dogs and cats were enemies. He barks at the kittens next door though.
