My brother and his wife lost Austie today. Although they have other dogs, he was a very special little boy who was in charge of their household. All of my dogs respected his space and did not challenge him. He was a senior, but had been in good health. This morning he was having trouble breathing, so they took him to the vet, who put him on oxygen. He passed to the bridge 3 hours later. They are devastated.

I'm so sorry. That pic brings back memories of my yorkie. They look so much alike.

:pray: for your brother and wife. They may be little dogs but there is a big spot in your heart for them.

I have also experienced the pain of the sudden loss of an apparently healthy senior. Please pass on our sympathy to your brother and family; they must be heartbroken. :angel1:

I am so sorry to hear of Austie's passing it is especially difficult to handle when no warning is given. I will light a candle for the newest little :angel1: at the bridge. :pray:
