Sadie is so funny!

Sadie just did the funniest thing. We have her in her crate for awhile, and I just gave her a doggie bone. We happened to look over and watch her carefully arrange her blanket with her teeth and claws. Now, she's a little dog and she's using a lot of effort to pull and "dig" at this blanket. We watched on wondering what exactly she was doing and realized, she took the bone we gave her and was literally burying her bone! She would dig the covers away, poke at the bone with her nose and then use her teeth to pull the covers over top of her bone and poke the covers down firmly with her nose. What's even funnier is that it's in the corner of the crate, so we could see it the whole time. I wonder if she knows that! http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

That is so cute. I just hope she is smarter than the Silky we once had. One week I noticed her little nylabones were all missing along with a few other petite toys.http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/confused.gif

That weekend, doing a thorough cleaning I lifted the couch cushions. There was a stash of things you can not imagine.http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/eek.gif

Never saw her stow them away. Since we never sat at that end of the couch, we never felt them through the cushion.

She hadn't gone back to get them. Either she forgot where they were or she was saving them for a rainy day.http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/lol.gif

I think I've mentioned this before . . .I moved a couple months back and when the couch was tipped to get it through the door, TONS of chewies fell out. Isobel ahd wedged them inside the couch and it rained pup chewies. The moving guys looked at me like I was the one who had done it <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm13.gif" border=0>

The pups thought it was Christmas all over again as I passed out "slightly used" chewies to one and all.

Those are funny stories. I can't imagine Sadie hoarding biscuits in the couch! I would have liked to see the expression on the movers face when he saw the chewies fall out. What would we do without these little creatures that make our lives more amusing? http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/smile.gif
