I've heard that this vitamin/supplement is good for humans & dogs for joint problems...Has anyone heard of this & is it helpful for doxies?

to the best of my knowledge (I'm a pharmacist). It is used sometimes in veterinary medicine, such as treating sore muscles/inflammation in horses. There is more conclusive research on the benefits of glucosamine... to keep cartilage of joints healthy, which should improve the dog's flexibility and muscle conditioning - this in turn might help avoid a disk injury or help heal after one has been sustained (but probably does not have any direct effect on disk health).
that's just my experience... if anyone has seen a good research study, I would LOVE to hear about it (always hoping for something that will protect my girls from disk problems!).
