How long for long coat to grow?

Hello

How long does it take for a mini long hair to have its coat grow to full length? Mine is already 2yrs but the fur still very short. Anyone know why?

Could be Smooth behind in the bloodlines or food or a bloodline that does not carry much coat.Males carry more coat females shed before each heat so every 6 months or so down to the undies.Whatever the coat is usually what it will be by age 3 short or flowing.

Did you see your dog's parents? Pictures of grandparents? Great-grandparents? If you are feeding a good dog food, have no problems with fleas or a health issue, you need to look (as Kay said) to genetics. And there is no fix if the genetics say 'little coat'.
