I use Incredimail XE. I am very happy with it. I have been using it for over a year and it has never caused a problem on my computer. www.incredimail.com
I use Firefox as my default browser, I still use Netscape for email. I prolly would switch to Thunderbird, if their directions to import the Netscape files made any sense at all. :D (Maybe Bob or Chrissie will send me directions that make sense ;) )
Jeannie uses Firefox/Eudora for browser/email. :) She has always been very happy with Eudora.

For some reason, I like it better than Outlook.

I use Yahoo! at home and Outlook at work. I"m thinking of changing to Outlook at home, too. It's very easy to use and I like the way some of the functions work.

I use Outlook at home mostly because that is what they have at work. But I also have Incedimail for when I want to sent something fancy.... It is a lot more fun to use than outlook... has a lot of the same features plus it's own. AND the base version is FREE. Always a good price

Firefox at home and work. Mark to import your netscape mail just install firefox the first time you start the application it will ask you if you want to import and offer selections to import from. Select the Netscape/Mozilla1. option and you should be set. IF this works for you let me know and I can send more information on how to clean up the duplicate files left behind after the import.
For what it's worth our department has banned the use of Outlook or outlook express on all office systems. When a new e-mail virus hits campus it's almost always designed to exploit holes in outlook and many of the viruses utilize the user's outlook address book to sned copies of itself out to everyone in the list.
Yes, that is what I did for **Firefox** and my browser is fine. But I was talking bout **Thunderbird** (for email) . . . if they have changed their import/installation parameters . . . I'll give it another go. Last time I tried they said to copy/paste files from X to Y . . . but the file locations were ill defined by Mozilla's migration instructions. :(

Sorry meant to say Thunderbird in that last post. The import features in the current version are very similar to what you've experience was in Firefox.
FOR SURE!!!???!!! Big change from few months ago.
So, if I DL the latest TB that it has an automated import feature?
If not I will expose you for the fraud you are.

Well MArk I just dis an upgrade from Netscape to Mozilla Thuderbird/Firefox on a system at work last week and didn't have to manually move any files. Ture with some past versions you had to do so.
Just tried the TB install again . . . just like before, a NS *******import******* is NOT one of the options offered!!!!!! Are you sure were talkin bout the email, not just the browser? I, too, found the FF browser, very easy. :flush:

Mark,
What about using and abusing Outlook Express? Import your netscape settings and mail into OE, then go OE to Thunderbird. Looks like it worked for me (the outlook express to thunderbird)
This really is silly . . .
TB and NS are both from Moz, but they can't migrate or import to each other? I have NEVER used OE or Outlook. Don't really wanna, even if it will just allow an import of HS to OE to TB.
Thanks for the tips guys. :)

I know the last migration at work was from Netscape 7.x to Thunderbird and Firefox and the user had no problems do the import. I didn't have to go back and do an setup or moving of files. All their mail folders, server settings and address books came over clean.. had you previously tried to install and use Thunderbird? IF so then you should go into Documents and Settings/username/Application Data and delete the Thunderbird folder. Note the Applications Data folder is a hidden one and you will need to enable viewing of hidden folders. So long as you don't have a Thunderbird folder when you start Thunderbird it should pop up a list of import form options. IF you already have a Thunderbird folder then that window doesn't pop up and it tries to use settings already set in that folder. You are correct once Thunderbird completes it's initial configuration for a user there is no built in import for Netscape after the fact. Deleting and reinstall Thunderbird won't fix that option but deleting the Thunderbird folder under the individual user in the Documents and Settings section should enable the proper migration on the next (to the system first) Thunderbird start.
We may experiment again once we get over Bronchitis . . . :( :)
