Pet Pallooza in Arlington,Tx--June 8th....

Anyone in Arlington, Tx or surrounding areas going to the "Pet Pallooza" on Sat, June 8th? It's a 1 mile walk and a festival for all breeds of dogs. It's at River Legacy Park in Arlington. We are going to bring Penny and her westie-sis, Katie. My sister is bringing her bichon frise-Daisy. Should be a RIOT with all the dogs!!ha ha...the website for more info is:

In case the Pet Pallooza isn't enough fun, you can also attend the Dachshund Dash on Saturday north of Dallas in Lewisville!

The Dachshund Dash is Saturday 8 June at 11AM. They hold it at Lake Park in Lewisville on Mill St and Lake Park Rd. It's a $10 entry fee. The woman in charge is Laura Lucas, 817-431-9491. Tessie has asked to enter, but I am waiting to see what else happens here. Besides, I haven't decided that Wiener Dog Racing is for us. At least the rain should stop by then. Rena, the 4 girls (Stinker, Tess, Lucy, Kibby) and 2 foster boys (Theodore Bear and Charlie)

NO FAIR !!!! I live in Coppell -close to both Arlington and Lewisville....but I have other plans for June 8th (actually doxie puppy related) and can't go to either. I would like to get on some mailing list - to be notified of these events next year. Any ideas? Is there any website that posts events like this to monitor routinely? Thanks - have SO much fun at either event!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

The Pet Pallooza on saturday was a blast! There were a few tense moments when an english bulldog went after Katie(our westie). She yelped for her life! Took 2 of us to get the dog away from her. Poor thing--she was alittle upset. But, had fun again when the dog left. There were about 2,000 people there and hundreds of furbabies. We saw everything from a tiny thing to a huge great dane. I won a bottle of "Emu Oil"--first time I saw that. ha ha.. We figured it was time to leave when Penny wanted me to carry her. It did get hot, but we left early. The girls slept all the way home and took a long afternoon nap.We all had a good time.
