Hi Mark,
I'm Georgette & I work with Heather. I live in NJ also - in Bridgewater & I'm the other NJ DRNA rep.
Obviously those of us on this board adore our dachsies but we're also protective of them. They are absolutely <FONT COLOR="Pink"><FONT size="4">WONDERFUL</FONT s></FONT c>but also very <FONT COLOR="Pink"><FONT size="4">STUBBORN</FONT s>
</FONT c>. To be honest they don't always listen & aren't the easiest to train because they have an agenda of their own - to hunt & badger & torment & be cute & <FONT COLOR="Pink"><FONT size="4">LOVABLE</FONT s>
</FONT c>too.
So as long as you're willing to live up to the devotion a dachshund foster would require, fostering is a very thoughtful and generous way to consider forever adoption.
If you need info and a contract from the DRNA either Heather or I will send it to you - hard copy if you email your address privately.
