this....this BOY thing bouncin' around the house???? We don't need no stinkin' BOYS around heah!!!!
Yeah, mom went and dunnit this time. I just KNEW sumptin wuzzup and I was RIGHT(as per usual).
Well, I don't like it one bit and I'm here to tell you that my nose is officially outta joint......hrrrrrumph.
That BOY named Sunny came barrellin' in heah about 9:15 this morning. I wasn't even done with my
morning nap! And not only that, but he had all kinds of interesting toys that came wiff him that I
WANTED, so I GRABBED. They are MY toys now and I told him so too! I'm just trying to tell him how
it's gonna be around heah, and mommy has a bloomin' COW and sez NO, Dolly!! Well, don't she know,
I'm the boss around heah? He's not the most submissive boy I've seen ever. He growled right back at
me. Mom keeps mumblin' something about how we'll sort things out. Right! I'm THE BOSS and that's
FINAL. That Sunny Boy already pee'd on little Madderoo. Guess he's marked her as his. She is doing a
good job at tolerating him, but knows how to sit down and cover her bootie when she gets tired of
his cold snoot in it. Well, I think HE is downstairs sleepin'. Maybe if'n I'm lucky mommy will find time in
her bizzy schedule to give ME some lovin's. Hrrrrumph.

Disgusted Dolly Dollikers

Hi everyone!

Sunny has arrived and I'm really pleased that there has not been any real fights. Oh, he and Dolly
make noises at each other when a toy is involved, but it's nothing that won't sort out itself.
Suddenly Dolly is interested in nylabones....his, ofcourse and his other toys. So far, he has been
pretty good and marking his territory outside with only one slip up THAT I KNOW OF. He is downstairs
by himself right now. Dolly is in a BIG pout on the slipper bench up here in the Master bedroom.
Maddie, as usual, is just happy where ever mom is. It's only the first day, but (darn it) he is CUTE
and it may be hard to give him up. Very quiet boy, although when he DOES bark, it shakes the
walls...LOL. Better go see what Sunny Boy is up to. As I said, it's QUIET down there, and you know
what THAT may mean!!!

Hi Sandi,

The boys Frank and Tanner send a big hello to Sunny. I take it he is a foster? I'm sure he will carve a special place in your heart regardless of where he ends up. My biggest fear with my offer to foster was that I wouldn't be able to give up the little one when their time and a new home came. While unofficially I was fostering Tanner for our fist week (I can't believe it's only been a week) there was little doubt in my or the Dachshund Rescue representatives that Tanner would stay in my home. We made it offical Saturday I dropped off my check for his adoption fee. I'm out of the potential foster loop for right now since this is the first time I've ever been a two dog household and we want to make little Tanner feel at home. It's too bad I'm out of the loop Dachshund Rescue of Colorado has received 12 new dogs in the past week. Before you ask, while the same individuals are associated with DRNA they prefer to keep the Colorado rescues in state so that they can be very sure of the homes they re going into.

http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/bounce.gif So glad Tanner found such a loving home! How was his first night at your house? I'm sure that Sunny still thinks he's doing back home tonight. It will be an interesting evening.

Tanner is not spoiled but he had no problem settling down in my bed on my right side while Frank was in his usual place on my left. I don't know of a faster way to help bring a shy little one out of their shell to bond with you than to let then sleep with you. OF course while in theory Tanner was a foster he came to my home with the idea that I would be adopting. I just requested the one week foster period so that I could be sure it was the right thing for all three of us. If it had been a true foster I would have most likely made him stay in a kennel and who knows how that would have gone.

Good luck,

Tom

Wotan here! Ha! Mom is taking another nap on the couch and I'm making full use of her snores to alert me to when I have to get off the 'puter.

Miz Dolly -Doglet! Don't be sad! I'll rescue you from that scoundrel if he even breathes one breath on your silky hairs! .

Just remember, YOU have the L@@K down to a science and that flies are best caught with honey treats rather than broccoli (tho some of us like that stuff )

Also! We boyz will be boyz... I have to confess I used to pee on Diva when she'd ignore me. Hmmmm, she still does- but that's another story.

Dolly, you and Maddie can show the new guy how to climb on tables and counters and throw food to you...
Regardless of his energies and barking, he'll eventually come through b/c he's a dachsie and one of us !

Hang in there, Wo the man is thinking of your plight

Poor Dolly. Mum was sniggering but I understand. How rude and rough boys can be, one of my littermates was a boy and us girls used to gang up on him. Now I am an only furkid and not spoilt at all By the way, Mum loves these new smilies, aren't they great Thanks whoever set them up
