Ok... My mom got Bailey a cuz and one of those fat cat "indestructable" toys we discussed a few weeks ago. Apparently, he is the exception to the rule for both...just look what happened...

Sorry the pictures are so dark... I was having a bad photography day or something!
Anyway, I don't know what else to try! He loves toys, but I can't afford to keep getting him ones he destroys. His toy box looks like a scrap metal yard...all parts! :yikes:

Oh, trust me- you're not alone. I was surprised at the raves for Cuz, too! Dutch and Geisha destroyed those in about 30 seconds.
The larger fat cat is still alive- but barely. Mostly because they're bored by it. It's hard to squeak. ;)
What has worked? Stuffingless squeakies (I replace the squeakers every now and then), the tire-biter line (tho they don't get used much), durable nylabones, Kongs (I do have to replace them regularly), and fleecey toys from Wal-mart (they're cheap- and DO get destuffed eventually, but outlast much more expensive ones!).

Just when I was going to get one for Will'em! Seriously, about the only things he cannot destroy are rope tugs and flash and fetch balls. Even when the flasher goes out, they are still balls that do not chew or break!

I know the feeling!!! Caillou can tear up a GOLF ball. Within 10 minutes, it's a ball of spikey fiberglass. We don't give them to her anymore because they're bad for her teeth.
She now chews on rocks and I have to take them from her at least 10 times a day.

Get him the rope toys also visit the dollar stores they have some nice stuff, plus you won't feel bad if they destroy the toys. Tennis balls are cheap and dogs love them.

up with something for our :devil1: of destruction lol
We could strike it rich if we could come up with a non destructive doxie toy.

Ok, I have been meaning to get this for Peaches, but I haven't yet.

This is guaranteed. If it is destroyed from chewing, they say they will replace it.
The kicker is that if we find a toy they can't destroy, they will be bored by it and not play with it! :devil1:

the only toy i can keep around here anymore is tennis balls. he loves them! i got oscar some ropes and squeaky toys, he chews holes in the squeakies and eats the ropes, and you know what goes in must come out, so i dont get him either of those anymore. if they destroy tennis balls, they are easy and cheap to replace!

Bacca also made short work of a mini 'awful mad kitty'. We haven't tried a 'cuz' yet! Solo isn't interested in those sort of toys but Bacca loves the destroying/destuffing procedure! :D One toy we have that HAS survived 2 months unscathed is a long, soft toy dachsie - isn't that funny?! We
bought it at Petsmart and it's called a 'Loofah' toy or something. He loves trying to 'kill' it - flings it around (it's a very loooong dachsie!)
plus makes it squeak (it has 2 different squeakers). And so far no holes! I would recommend giving it a try, you never know! ;)

the mad cat toy lasted about 20 minutes in our house. I saw the loofah toy i think but it was like $7 and i didn't want to take the chance. we stick with inexpensive stuffies from walmart and the dollar store. it seems to be all about quantity in this house.

but no solution
Ruben can destroy any toy. PROMISE!!! I won't begin to add up the cost of his toys in almost two years. I've kept BestFriendsGeneralStore on ebay in business. She's got wonderful toys and terrific prices, and I get stuff from here and PetCo and the local store, and...he can destroy them all! Oh yeah, in record time too. The vet just gave Ruben and Trenyce really tough toys from Frontline after they got thier meds, and it wasn't ten minutes and Ruben had chewed through his and his sister's! If it isn't destroyed, it's only because he doesn't touch it.
What's sad here is I used to have a bag of toys in the utitlity room, but he bugged me too much when I did laundry, so I moved them to the spare room. Then he found my hiding place, and ripped through the closet (now he scratches at the door and begs to go in-but I've moved them to another room) :sob: . Poor Ruben, I have to hide all the toys, so that they are all supervised when he plays with them. Poor me, he never forgets an old hiding place, so he searches every place I've ever hidden them. :faint:
