Columbus ohio meetup today

A Dachsie meetup was planned in Columbus Ohio at the Park of Roses today. Ilsa and I met with some of the people who came and we had a great time! :cheer: The dogs and humans met, greeted, chatted and barked. The furkids sniffed and growled, poked and played and generally had a very good time. The people owned by them sat and visited and got to know each other and have decided to make sure we meet again often. I told them about this board and they plan to check it out. A couple of them will also attend the Dachsie Picnic in Kent as will I. I will post again when we meet and maybe some others in our area can make it to a meetup.

We are interested in knowing who the local dachshund rescue people are here in the Columbus area. Might be a way to help them out when possible.

Get in touch with Lori (onebigmickeyfan). She is located in Cinci and belongs to the SW Ohio Dachshund Rescue group and CCDR. Even if you can't foster, there are usually many transports for other doxie rescue going up that way (I usually do the Louisville or Lexinton to Cinci legs). And I know they could use someone to pull from places up that way. Lori and I (and many others from here) will all be going to the Ohio picnic - so you can meet up with us all.

I would be able to do transport so will talk to who i need to about that. I am looking forward to connecting with the Ohio and other parts of the U.S. rescue people at the picnic. Since we do Sheltie rescue here i am aware of how wonderful the people are who do this and i am forever grateful to the Ohio dachsie rescue who helped me find my Ilsa. :appl:
