Tomorrow will be one year since our beloved Dudley went to the Rainbow Bridge. We miss you little buddie. Will our hearts ever heal. We do get comfort in knowing you are free from pain, to see you in such pain was more than we could bare. We couldn't stand not having you here little one, our hearts and home was so empty without your love and joy. That is what enabled us to get another Doxie (no you weren't replaced your love and memories were expanded) you have a little Brother named Dexter, who has helped to ease the pain and to allow us to share the love that you brought us. You will always be our 1st love and little model. Run and have fun our sweet baby. Thank you for loving us.
Posting these in memory of you Sweet Dudley

How can any of us not miss a furkid who has gone on to the Bridge ahead of us?
What great pics and memories you have . . . like ours of Wimpy, those happy thoughts/times comfort us.
We're sorry for your loss and sad times.

That's a very nice tribute. You are correct we never replace the ones we have lost but finding a new little one to share our lives gives us an outlet for all that love and attention we learn to give that backs up and starts to choke us in even deeper grief if we can't find a new outlet. I'm sure Dudley would approve after all we know how our little ones hate to see us hurt and will do what every than can to try and make us feel better.

It does not seem like a year has passed. Dudley's loss hit us all here very hard. How lucky you are to have shared your lives with that wonderful little boy.

What beautiful pics you have of your sweet Dudley - although they might bring you tears they must also bring incredibly beautiful memories. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I just know that your Dudley and our Rusty are at the Bridge - running free and healthy.

Oh Joyce..that was beautiful. It does seem so hard to believe that a year has gone by since he went to the Bridge. I bet he's looking at you and smiling through all of Dexters antics!

Oh Joyce, I remember when you posted about Dudley going to the bridge. It was so sudden. He was so loved by so many of us here. He always brought smile to my face and I cried when I'd read that post a year ago. As I am crying now. He brought so much joy into the lives of all of us. Big hug to you and your husband!

I just want to thank everyone for all the great support and coments about Dudley. I don't know what I would have done without this board. It has been a difficult day, but with Dexter around you can't stay upset for long. We have been twice blessed to have had Dudley, and now to have Dexter.
Thanks again I love you all.

Pass the kleenex please. Oh JOyce, I remember when I was so new here at DBB. Sir Dudley was one of the first guys I saw in the brag book. I so looked forward to seeing more and more pictures of him! Then the news came that he was with us no more. :crying: WHAT? No more Dudley photos? How could I look at the brag book and not see Dudley? He always brought laughs and good feelings with every picture.
Please know that I miss him like crazy. I'm sure that he is currently sitting on Omi's lap, with Papa wanting his turn to love him while they wait for me to show up one day.
Dudly, you introduced me to the wonderful world of doxie photos and I miss you bunches buddy! Keep em straight up there until we can all meet again.

Dudley was an amazing little guy... and a great little model. In their own unique way each and every one of our little fur kids leaves their own set of paw prints on our hearts. He may be gone but certainly never forgotten :hugs1:

I too can hardly believe a year has gone by. I remember the day after I read the news I was a Petsmart and met a little Dachshund puppy and his proud owners. I asked "What is his name?" His new Hoomom said "Dudley!" with a big happy grin on her face. I started to cry. When she saw the tears I explained "A friend just passed away. His name was also Dudley."

and much-loved dachsie and what a wonderful tribute you have written about him. I too am in tears - our dachsies touch us so deeply and are really a part of our souls, and it is so difficult to say goodbye to them. Dudley knew he was loved and his memories will be with you always. Hugs to you :hug2:
