Hve any of you ever given your pups one of these? Weazel Ball (http://www.kitestailstoys.com/product.php?productid=17113&cat=0&page=1)

I was at Cracker Barrell yesterday and they had one of these on display in a cage on the floor. They had it in a cage because it rolls around in different directions because of a small battery operated moter inside. I thought it would be a cute toy for the dogs. Well, The tail lasted less than a minute, but once the tail (weazel) was off, the ball took off like a shot! Mitch was hot after it. He was getting so frustrated trying to catch it, that I took it from him and turned it off. He looked at me as if I killed his best friend. I turned it back on so he could play a bit longer. He eventually wore himself out so I put it up.

I gave it back to him this evening and got the same reaction. He loves this thing! The best part is that it is hard plastic so he hasn't even put a scratch on it. Best 6.99 I've spent in a long time. Definitly a toy for supervised play though - I think he'd exhaust himself if I didn't take it away.

Low-la has no interest in the ball, but is slowly de-hairing the weazel. Life is Good. :circle:

What a fantastic buy! I think our sight hound, Marta would go nuts. Pokey's style is definately the de-haring process. :fierce: Is it hard plastic that might splinter?

It would be hard for them to get it in their mouth to splinter. It is about 4-5 inches in diameter. Mitch can almost get his mouth around it. That is why it is so frustrating - when he thinks he has it cornered it slips out of his grip and skitters off. He barks at it and just gets so danged mad, you have to laugh.

Sold! ;) No heavy chewers here. We have a larger honorary dachshund that could get it in her mouth, but she's a light nibbler at her best -(unless it squeaks!) Sounds like Mitch is in toy heaven! :)

I got one for my red puppy who is at the bridge. She barked so much that I eventually put it up. Just found it again this afternoon. There is also a remote control mouse in the same shoe box. Might be fun to get it out again, but I am sure that Will'em will destroy both or drive me crazy with the barks.

Oliver would go nuts for that kind of toy! I will have to look around for one here. If I can't find one..maybe Auntie Lori will bring one to the Ohio Picnic for me? :D

Tasha would love one of those--but our downstairs neighbor wouldn't! :(

Maybe I'll get one and just give it to her when we're on vacation and there are no neighbors to bother.

Thanks for the recommendation!!
