Memories:
One of the most favorite things that Cooler has always loved to do is chase leaves blowing in the wind. He started chasing leaves early on when I first brought him after he turned 8 weeks old. In 1997, we had a terrible monsoon. The winds got up to 120 miles an hour. While it was getting up there, Cooler thought he was having the best time chasing all the leaves and debris flying around. When we saw that he was being pushed by the wind, we ran out and got him. He was not a happy little dog.
One day, I was scratching Cooler's ears and neck, and he was so much in heaven, that his legs kept on sliding out and his little rear end was stuck up in the air.
Cooler spent half an hour chewing on a Bully stick one night. He would not share it with the other dogs.
When Cooler barked, he had such a very deep bark, that he sounded like a coonhound dog.
Years ago, when Bunny had her puppies, Cooler decided that he was their “mommy”, too. He helped Bunny take care of her pups. Cooler was such a good little boy.
One day, Juney got angry at Trixie and so I picked up Juney to de-stress her by kissing and hugging and humming to her. Well when I put her down, Cooler wanted me to pick him up. :) When I finished de-stressing him, Bunny wanted me to pick her up. I de-stressed her. Then I picked up Trixie, but she didn't want to de-stress, she wanted to play. When I put her down, Cooler was sitting on my foot, waiting for me to pick him back up and de-stress him. :) What a character Cooler is. :)
Cooler was always such a sweetheart. He always greeted me with a big kiss when I came home or when I woke up. He also thought that because I was training Trixie to go potty outside with treats, he was entitled to a treat, too. It was so funny to see him go outside, then when he came back in, he would look up at the table for a treat. Of course, I gave him one and told him that he was a good boy.
One day a couple of weeks before Cooler passed away he was being a Velcro pup and seemed a little down. I picked him up and talked to him for a moment, and then I told him that if he wanted to go back to heaven, then he needed to let me know. Well, he started licking and getting excited in my arms. He passed away a few weeks later.
