When your dachsie wants attention, what do they do? Timber does a mix of a howl and a growl. It sounds really funny. Of course, he gets the attention after he does that!

Bud does a kind of howl-whine thing. But he stands just out of my reach when he does it so I have to really reach to pick him up. My hubby swears Bud is talking just to me.

Duck Butter usually whines and give us the L@@K, Masse just gives us the L@@K combined possibly with the Vulcan "Mind Meld" http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/lol.gif and Top Spin comes to us and tries to communicate what he's after.

Owen gets right in your face, stepping on your chest while trying to lick your ears. If he were 8 lbs, it would be really cute... but he's close to 23 lbs and he all but knocks the breath out of me!!

[Shelbie]

Shelbie does the sort of trilling whine and then rushes off. My favourite, probably quite old, retort is to say "But Shelbie we don't KNOW anybody called Timmy and there's not an old mine shaft for miles round here..."<IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm32.gif" border=0>
