I am in need of a copy of Rainbow Bridge to send to a friend. Does any one know where I can find it? I lost the one that I had. I am afraid a friend is going to need it. His 17 year old Siamese Cat is not doing well and neither is he. I am hoping for the best but am afraid of the out come. The vet has told him his Kitty is 17 and there just is nothing to be done for him. He has gone from 14 pounds to 6 because he won't eat. Anyway I know the Rainbow Bridge will help him if anything happens so thanks for helping me obtain a copy.

Tom and Frank thank you so much for finding this for us. I am not real proficient with the computer but I am learning. I hope we don't need it for a long time, but I want it on hand just in case. As you can imagine my friend is a basket case with a 17 year relationship on the line. Thank you for your time and help. Flossie and Becky Ann

This may help too if the worst does happen - I read a book called "The Loss of A Pet" by Dr. Sife and I found it helpful. I thought I was losing my mind when Punkin (my first dachsie) died...I still think it at times. This book helped to validate my feelings. You could give it to him as a gift if the unthinkable happens.

There is also a children's book called "Cat Heaven" but it's good for adults too. It is a sweet book and really cheers a person up. I have the "Dog Heaven" that a friend gave me and I love it.

I'll say a prayer for your friend and his cat. It is good you are there for him. Not many people understand why we grieve for our pets so. Everyone on this board has been great for me.

I like this poem too:

A Poem For The Grieving
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.

Tanya,
Thank you so much for the suggestions of books. He certainly is a reader and will aprreciate them. The vet gave his baby less than 6 months. He is dealing with kidney failure and acute anemia. I will have the poem and the books on hand but hope that there is a recovery. Thank you so much for the poem which I have copied and saved to send to him at the appropriate time. Flossie
