I had a lady call me about a hour ago needing to rehome her dog its a 3yr old mini. blk/tan longhair male (unneutered) She was hoping that i would take him to breed with (uh no) I told her i would help her find a foster home for him as i cant have anymore males in my house (my boys have too many alpha dog battles as it is) Anyways she says that hes behind on shots for this year but is in good health and loves cats, other dogs and children and is really sweet natured... Please email me if u are involved in rescue and can help.... Roxane maybe?!?!?! This lady lives also lives in NC!!! Thanks

Jen, just slipping in before crashing. Do you think you can convince her that the ad might be an open invitation for disaster? You know, so many people are completely unaware of what goes on in the world of commercial just-for-profit dog breeding.
Once you can touch base with the lady and get more information, surely we can find a way to help the little guy.
Please don't feel guilty. There are limits to how many just one person can rescue or foster. By putting this on the board you are taking the first step, so thanks for that.
I'll check here tomorrow.

I have gotten in touch with Shelly from New Mex. and sent her all the info on Caimon hopefully they will get in touch with her or something.. i told her about the websites such as brother ellis and his free meat champiagne and about puppymills i hope she listened i think shes gonna let the dachshund rescue handle it if they will..I think her main concern is getting him somewhere besides her house so hopefully someone from Drna will come get him and find him a most excellent home... Thanks alot keep your fingers crossed for this lil guy! http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

A girl named Andra emailed me and i sent her the info she says shes with the dachshund rescue also in Memphis Tenn. anyone know of her she says shes gonna go pick him up... i told the owner Christina to wait but she says if this woman shows up shes giving him to her. I hope shes really with the dachshund rescue because i cant control what the owner does... but i did tell her i wasnt for sure this woman was in the dachshund rescue ... but she very well maybe ... If she emails me back again i will ask her just to be sure what branch shes with and stuff. Thanks for all your help guys ... Christina also said Caimon is a lil runner he will bolt if he can she said he nearly ran away this morning because they have a hole in their fence. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/frown.gif I just have one word for that "leash" Well lets hope we can get this lil guy in a good home... again thanks for your help <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm12.gif" border=0>
