It's a small world, thanks to this board!!! :D
Amy (aburgstede) sent me a PM when Trenyce was sick recently, and asked where in southeastern WI we lived. When we learned we both live in Delavan, we decided to get the dogs (and people) together.
That was pretty cool itself, but it gets better. How many dogs are named Squirt? Well one of hers is, and Ruben and Trenyce's father was named Squirt. We got to meet their moms at the breeder, but never met Squirt. The first questions I asked Amy when we met up was where did you get him, and when? Yeah, guess who we all got to meet today???
:cheer: :cheer: :hug2: :partytim: We all got to meet the one who caused us to get our babies. He is the sweetest boy. Wanna know what he looks like? He looks just like his little girl! Rather she is the spittin' imige of her daddy. And they have some interesting personality similarities too. :blush:
Ruben, on the other hand, not like him (duh) but does have the sweet personality of his daddy!
The "meetup" was more fun for the hoomans than the dogs though. Our two didn't pay much attention to Digger, Daffy, or even Squirt. Squirt got lots of lovin' from me :) causing Ruben to get in my face to remind me that he is my "main man". Daffy was a girl who talked to us lots (another diva in our midst?), and Digger was all Alpha Male. Darin got in lots of bonding! Why is it always the biggest dog that must be held the entire time :devil1: ? He was letting us all know that he was in charge, but Darin was wonderful at letting Digger know that nope, Darin was in charge. I can't wait to meet up again! That Daffy is the darkest little smooth dapple, and Squirt is as smooth and soft as my girlie. Maybe I'll even get to pet Digger next time. :(
