http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/bounce.gif Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for a mini/tweenie quiet gentle friendly. Preferably long-haired. Needs to be gregarious and a lap-type! Anyone know of a little gal/guy who could fit this bill??

Hi Tammy,

A couple of ideas first off start at the Dachshund rescue web page http://www.drwp.net/index.html I believe they have a section for Canadian dogs. Another good looking Canadian page is http://www.dachshund.bc.ca/mainpage.html

I believe we also have a Canadian member on this board who is involved with rescue perhaps they can help you out.

Good luck with your search and report back with all your stories when you find a buddy.

Thanks Dutchman <IMG SRC="http://216.74.85.16/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm35.gif" border=0> I've had a peek at both sites and Sue is on the search as well. Got notes posted everywhere http://216.74.85.16/ubb/smilies/smile.gif!!! Keep an eye open for me and thanks for the suggestions!

are you looking for a pup or a senior ok? I may have a rescue 8 year old mini long hair in the paper down here in PA.

http://216.74.85.16/ubb/smilies/crying.gif Hi Augie, if it were up to me I'd say yes, I'd like to go get that little 8 year old, unfortunately, the lady I'm "representing"(?) is looking for a younger dog, perhaps 1 - 3 years. I sent you a note suggesting the rescue groups but I'm sure you know about them? <IMG SRC="http://216.74.85.16/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm12.gif" border=0>

Hi David, just wanted to let you know that 1 hour for many rescue groups is nothing. Personally, I am affiliated with DRNA, and I would gladly rescue a dog from your area. I believe you are about 1 hour away, can't quite recall.

Anyway, if you need help, you can visit drna.org, or feel free to email me on this board. There are several rescue people on this board.
