Just have to post this as a smiling tribute to all on this Board who go (literally) the extra mile as rescuers:

"Top Ten Ways to Know You Are Doing Too Many Rescue Transports
10. Your friends remark about your unique dog/cat-fur seat covers.
9. A friend asks you if you want to go for a Sunday drive and you say you have to check the transport list first.
8. Your engine starts knocking so you pour a bottle of Rescue Remedy in the gas tank.
7. You get stopped for having illegally tinted windows and the officer does not believe those are nose prints.
6. You take your car to the car wash and ask for the flea bath.
5. You take your dog/cat to the groomer but miss the appointment because your dog/cat is still checking out all the strange dog/cat smells in your car and refuses to get out.
4. You sit down to plan your vacation and you begin dividing the route into legs.
3. You are pulled over for speeding and give the officer your rabies certificate.
2. You schedule your car's preventive maintenance at the Vets.
1. Your boss asks you to make his / her travel arrangements for an upcoming business trip, so you post him / her to Rolling Rescue.
And if you identified with more than five of those, we will be holding Transporters Anonymous meetings in the Rolling Rescue Chat Room at egroups every Thursday at 9pm CST."

I do not know the author, but am sure he/she would not mind my cross posting. With all that is going on, I know I can use a time-out; before the next emergency.

Roxane,

What a hoot! Yep, sounds familiar, esp. the illegal window tint and my pups _always_ checking out the cool smells in the back seat . . . oh yes, and the really neat furry seat covers . . . <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm6.gif" border=0>

Thanks for the laugh http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/lol.gif
