may be opeing a can of worms here but I've discovered that I missed meeting some DBB'rs at different events cuz I didn't know they'd be there. I've created and had printed t-shirts for retail several times and have some wonderful sources that I can get shirts from dirt cheap. Is there any interest?? MArk/Jean - would you ok this with final approval on design?? Just one way for us to site each other and to spread the word about one heck of a fabulous site!
If interest is there, and it does not violate any site rules, I would be willing to work something up.

Great Idea....I'll take 2 please...and could you make them in Doxie sizes as well? I don't want Adolph and Maxx to be jealous or feel left out!

I voted maybe - but not because of price. It's more because of design. I'd have to see what got worked up and whether it would be a huge, across the shirt type thing or more of an on the pocket style before I'd commit.

I would, I love the idea.

Sure, both as a fundraiser for DBB as well as a way to promote the board and find others at events, yes yes yes!

I love the idea!

I agree, pupper sized shirts would be a must. However, price would be an issue with me. Those bully sticks are just pricey :)

Sadly, I'm really not a T-Shirt person BUT... shirts for doxies would be fantastic so count me in for one for Lucie :wavey:

Sandi - the brand Bella has some really cute doggie shirts that are perfect for dachsies! You could get them imprinted with a cute font saying something like "DBB Pooch" :)

Sure, both as a fundraiser for DBB as well as a way to promote the board and find others at events, yes yes yes! Same here. I was just wondering if this would go against the TOS, but if it's a fundraiser...?

I will buy a few. I would love to meet people from DBB and be able to introduce myself in person. I would love to be able to get together with new people and let our pups play.

Of course. I'm a t shirt fanatic. I have 2 drawers of t shirts now, but can never resist another.

I also have two drawers full, but always need more. My girldogs will remain naked, but I know many of our better-dressed pups would also look great in one. :)

Yes, I hope they would be 100 percent cotton ad that is all I like.

If it is not a design I like, I would use it for sleep. If it is a design I like I will wear it wherever I go!!!

True. And I'm not a t-shirt person, though I put "maybe". If there were shirts that fit like women's shirts, I would be more for it. My figure just doesn't work well in any t-shirts- they feel too long to me because I'm used to form fitting polos and button downs.

On the other hand, I would like something with the DBB on it to wear to dachsie related events. It would make me feel special. :)

The DOGGIE shirt idea is AWESOME, though!!! The girls could say, "DBB DIVA" and the boys could say, "DBB STUD" or something. :) Just a thought. Miss Rigby wants "Queen of DBB", but I told her she's so vain.

How bout "Queens of the DBB?" as there's MANY divas... specially Riggy B, Snoot, Gigi, Peaches, Tammy, Bella Jr., etc......

but could we please stay away from a white or black tee. There are som very pretty colors out there like the green I use for my DDB board color.

I would love to wear a shirt to advertise one of my favorite places!! Plus, my kids at school always love it when I wear shirts with "Pippit" on them! They think every Dachsie is Pippit. :)

I can get the design done here and we can all vote if Kat or one of the other graphic gurus does not want to or have time to do it.

Kim- when you have a body like that it is a crime against nature to cover it up. If I looked as good as your girls I'd be nekkid all the time.

What about using the DBB logo with the URL so people can come to visit? With permission of the owner - of course!! :)

I think the DBB Logo idea would be great. That way we could advertise whenever we wore them. Although come to think of it, I'm not sure how many more new members I could handle. I'm having trouble keeping all the dogs matched with the hoomans now! ;)

Count me in. I doubt we'll get around to any meetups anytime soon, but I'd be proud to wear a shirt displaying the DBB! AND, if I did attend any meetups, I'd be sure to get it AUTOGRAPHED, just like in High School!

I voted maybe, because it depends on the design and style. I also like the idea of the women's "baby tee" and a doggie shirt is a must! yay.

I realize that this thread was from a long while ago, but hey I saw it so why not?! How about doing a fund raiser for tee shirts???? I'm fluent in adobe photoshop AND adobe illustrator and have a business designing shirts for sports teams locally. I'm happy to volunteer my time and help w/ designs if wanted. I already designed one dachshund tee shirt so PM me if you'd like my assistance! :)

I'm in, I LOVE t-shirts, and one for puppy too!
Let me know how much and how do I order. If there is a way to send profit to Rescue, that would be a plus, if allowed. And certainly a way to help a little one find a new home. Although no profit would keep the price down too!

We agree with everyone... COUNT US IN! Please get some large sizes for our full figure volunteers. We want T-shirts for our Doxies too...gosh don't know how many...BTW I have a Gentle Giant Doxie Princess Fiona weighing in at about 45 pounds...

YES! that would be great!! But the price is an issue me... I could only afford a shirt that costs 20-25$ dachsie sized would be great too! what are you waiting for? make those shirts :D!

longtimecouple1
12-26-2006, 11:22 AM
I would definitely buy 2, one for me, one for Coco. I love t-shirts, I just bought one from our dachshund meetup group, plan to wear it to next meetup in Jan. Also, I'd buy 2 for Chanelsmom (my granddaughter) and Chanel, so there's a sure 4, 2 human, 2 weiner shirts.
I think the idea of using the logo is great. And the profit after the cost of shippping and production could go to CCDR perhaps?
