View Full Version : New Job At Last

Dolly's Mom

Although I would love to be a stay-at-home dachsie mom, I must help support my doglets in the fashion for which they have become accustomed. These last couple months have been tuff job-wise as I've (through no choice of my own)been job hopping here and there. No, I'm NOT a flake, just STUFF happens. Either they said I wasn't a good fit or in the case of the last place I was at, it was WAY beyond what my little pea brain could handle. Today I started yet another new job. I really like it and this company seems to like me too. Doxie rays please that it will continue well. I'm tired of the looking, interviewing, waiting, negotiating, etc. I'm the front desk receptionist for an employment coaching/consulting firm that conducts most of their business over the phone and internet. Very professional, so looks like I'll need to do some serious shopping for appropriate outfits....VERY CORPORATE!!! Thanks for listening even though this isn't exactly dachsie related, though my girls wish mommy could just stay at home ALL the time!

Hi Sandi! I do wish you well with this new job. I know how frustrating it can be, I've been in your shoes. I just emailed you, but it did not go through (I don't think), it stated that you no longer had a current profile with this 'Dachsie Bulletin Board'. I have a different email addy now, it is susanmonona@aol.com Keep in touch!

Susan,

When you try to send a message, look in the area where is tells you who you are sending it to. You will see that it doesn't say "Dolly's Mom". It will say something like "Dolly|APO|Mom". For people who have an apostrophe in their name, it doesn't get interpreted properly. If you delete the |APO| garbage and put an apostrophe back in the right place, your message will go through.

I found this out the hard way. Hope this helps.

Sandi,

best of luck to you with this new job. I am sure it was very aggrevating to job hop until you found the right one. I have been down that route before also.

I am sure your dachsie babies know you want the best for them in life. And if they are anything like the dachsie's I have they will only take the besthttp://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

Sandy,
Tell the girls that you have to go out to make $ for dog foood and treats. They'll give you that L@@k that says, "Nice try Mom. We know you're going out to play and have fun while you leave us home alone"
Wouldn't you like to try their life for a day or two?: wake up, get kisses and tickles, eat, play, sleep, wake up, get kisses and tickles, eat, play, sleep, wake up, get kisses and tickles, eat, play, sleep, wake up, get kisses and tickles, eat, play, sleep, wake up, get kisses and tickles, eat, play, sleep, wake up, get kisses and tickles, eat, play, sleep, ...

Sandi- Tell those babies you expect the household chores to get done while you're away. Dinner, dusting, and laundry. The usual.

That way when you get home after a hard day's work you won't feel guilty about leaving them with nothing to do...

Really though- congratulations on the job!
Big smiles, Sonja and WO

Wonderful, Sandi. I have a suggestion; wait a couple of weeks, at which time the company will realize they can not do without you. Then suggest they let the girls give prospective clients the once over. After all, who is a better judge of character than our dachsies? Eventually, the girls will realize they were better off at home, following Georgette's descriptive routine. Result? No more problem!http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/wink.gif
Wishing you every success,
Roxane
