I went holiday shopping in Shreveport this last weekend, and made a point to go in their Petsmart so I could finally get a Bobo. They did not have any, and since Petco was close, I decided to go in there too. What do I find while digging through the sale bin but a Santa Bobo. How odd is that?? Is Petco realted to Petsmart? Btw, Izzy loves her Bobo :D ! She runs around the house shaking it and killing it, and when she finds the squeaker, she drops Bobo and jumps back and gives it funny looks. It is too cute! Will have to get filmed developed so i can post pics!

I think the makers of BoBo just sell them to anyone who will care. I do think both stores had to put in more orders after that commercial :)
I noticed the santa bobo makes a different noise than the normal bobo :)

Bobo is really "Loofah dog" if I recall correctly- and I got Dutch's original (first puppy toy) at a Petco. They were lucky to be featured in a PetSmart commercial- but definitely aren't proprietary to PetSmart. Which is a good thing... since IMHE, they tend to have a great deal of their items overpriced! :)
Can't WAIT to see these pictures! Bet they're just adorable as can be!!

I've never gotten Cricket a Bobo (bad mom, huh?) is it a stuffed toy? I've seen the commercial and have only been to Petsmart in Destin in the past few months and they were out. If it's stuffed, I can't get him one. Cricket has developed a taste for the stuffing in toys and will actually eat it. If it's just cloth w/a squeeker, I think we'd be safe.

Bobo is a stuffed toy. Ours no longer squeeks and I need to crochet a sweater for poor Bobo. Heidi has plucked him almost naked. She is a champion de-stuffer :eekdevil: She pins him to the floor under her paw and plucks him like a chicken. Valentin is in charge of "killing" Bobo first. Teamwork   ( :eekdevil: :eekdevil: )

We were at PetQuarters this weekend and they had TONS in various colors - and about a dollar and a half cheaper than (what I remember as) PetCo's price. I know PetQuarters has stores through out New England, but I don't know how much of the country they're in.
Sadly, I didn't think any of the cute little Loofah dogs deserved to die a violent death in the paws of my girls, so we didn't pick one up.

We just got a Petsmart here and they are called loofah toys. I only new what I was looking for because I saw pictures on DBB. They were about 10.00 Canadian so about 8.50 US. I am pretty sure heidi will destroy it but she loves squeakers so much that I had to try. She will get it on Christmas morning so I will keep you posted.

Poor Bobo has a boo-boo. My guys gutted him last night. :eekdevil: :eekdevil: Stuffing everywhere!!!!
The makers of Bobo actually had a good idea. The body squeaker is enclosed inside a plastic bag of stuffing inside the toy. I removed the squeeker (which no longer squeeks) and restuffed Bobo. I put the plastic bag of stuffing back in last, so that if my guys pull out the stitching, they will hit the plastic bag first and just maybe, stop at that point.:crsfnger: Now, I just need to crochet that sweater for poor naked Bobo .

I bought Gunther a bobo a couple of months ago. He is fully unempressed and "bobo" just lies there. Now gunther is twelve years old Dec 29. Ever since he lost his plastic pacifier at age one he has not gained interest in a toy. Guess it must have been due to early separation from toy....

Bobbi loves her Bobo! She's on her second one, the first one, after much hard play, was a walking petri dish, so we tossed it out. We bought her an 18" Bobo for Christmas. We celebrated our family Christmas last Saturday and Bobbi pounced on her new Bobo before it was even out of the wrapping paper! Right now Bobo is on the injured list, having had an ear ripped off during the last wrestling match. I'll repair that and he'll be back in the game!
