Team wire had a good Sunday too.
The weather was a LOT better. I entered the boys in OAAD - Open All Age Dogs and Merry in OAAB - Open All Age Bitches.
Merry didn't do much but she at least looked, this time like she knew there was something out there to track since she actually say a few bunnies.. Silly girl.. she just doesn't like getting in the brush... there are stickers in there don'tcha know
As for the Boys...
Badger couldn't let Bart get away with besting him the day before so he started out the day kicking Bunny Butt! Bart did really really well too but he was braced with a very experienced dog and though he did well he did not get called back. Badger did get called back as the first dog in the first brace in second series.. which meant he was at that point in first. He had a great run.. you could tell he was working trying to find the bunny trail and in the end he wound up with a rabbit in his mouth (it escaped when I hollered at him). Badger ended up winning OAAD.
Once all the classes have run. OAAD, OAAB, Field Champion Bitches and Field Champion Dogs the Open dogs face off against each other.. Badger defeated Zandra and Michael's Lili (Lili did great! Both of their girls did SO well!)
Badger then had to compete against the winner of the Field Champions face off... His inexperienced handler (moi) ended up costing him being the Absolute winner of that days trial.. but I am still so proud of him I could just about pop!!
Badger gtting his 1st place ribbon and sucking up to the Judge :)
