View Full Version : Tampa Dog Show

Hello,

There's a AKC dog show next month in Tampa. We got tickets and I'm really looking forward to seeing all the dogs. It'll be my first show I've ever been to... seen some on TV, but that's it so far.

I know there's a few others here in FL..... is anyone else going to this show as well?

I won't be going but know some one who's dog is going to be competing in the AKC National Agility Trial held at the same time.
Festus is a wire haired Dachshund and he met the pretty strict criteria to compete at Nationals... only dogs at Excellent B level can compete.
If you get a chance to see any of the Agility keep an eye out for Festus.. he is a lot of fun to watch!

I would love to attend a show someday also.

We'll definitely think about it! Ajsmom (my SIL, Bob's sis :)) will be visiting us the week before- she leaves on the 14th. :( But maybe we'll be able to make something on Sunday. We'll see. :)

They have it set up so you can go one or both days... it sounds like a good show. Let me know if you're gonna go. :)

going this year :(
It is a lot of money a BIG trip and January is FULL with football stuff, visiting family and raising dachsie babies. Keith was invited from finishig out of the Bred-By classes. Bacardi will be invited next year (just finished his Championship on December 18th) He finished out of the bred-by classes as well. I will miss it, but not trying to find a parking spot and getting a cart full of dachsies from the parking spot into the building and the WALK, which I am recently finding it very difficult to make it more than a block without having some major back mucle spasms and hefty sciatica down the backs of my legs. I feel like a cripple. I hope everyone has a good time and make sure you look up ahead of time when the dachshunds will be showing and in what ring so you won't miss them.
