Okay, David, as mentioned in another post somewhere...I am really dumb when it comes to computers. I do have access to a scanner but I have no idea how to e-mail a photo to you. Can you help me with that too. It is really sad to be so out of it. The only reason I have the use of this computer is because I am currently staying at my parents house. That is also why I have so many posts...there is nothing else to do! Thanks for your help.

Please post that info here. I need to know how to do it, too. I have access to a scanner (I think that's what's under all this stuff). Be sure to use only words of one syllabel, or I'm going to get into trouble fast!

You scan your fav. dog pic... you upload it to your website or a photo album (ie http://www.photopoint.com
Then you put the UBB code for pics here in the msg window along with the url of the pic kinda like this picurlhere only NO spaces the hit submit reply and VIOLA your all done!! If you want to meet me "chat now" i will walk you threw it step by step just priv. msg me or email me and we can set up a time to meet in there. If you dont want to go thru all that you can email me your pics and i will post them on here for ya. My email is TinyTails@triad.rr.com .... Okay, this is not an insult, but PA, I'm pretty sure you need plainer instructions on this one http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/wink.gif

After you scan the picture, save it to your hard drive -usually drive C. I always save mine as Jaypeg (.jpg) files since they are smaller than bitmap files (.bmp). You can choose this in the file type box of your save box.

If you want to use photopoint -its really easy- go to photopoint.com and register -they will not give out your info. They will email you when your account is set up and it is FREE.

Then you attach your photo files to an email and send it to photos@photopoint.com.

They will email you when they have processed them. you can log in at photopoint website and move the pics from an incoming album, to a pet album buy clicking on the little checkmark boxes then on the sidebar changing the album to pet and clicking on move.

Once your photos are there, you can post them anywhere or just copy the address of your album and posting it so others can go look.

To copy a photo here, RIGHT click on the photo. Click on properties. Then highlight the address. RIGHT click on the highlighted address and click on copy. Go into a post here and RIGHT click. click on paste. The address should appear. then you can type before the address with no spaces and after the address with no spaces.

that should do it.

I agree that if this is confusing to you, maybe you would do better chatting with Jen and have her walk you through it. I have a photopoint site set up and would also be happy to post a picture or two in my Friends section if anyone would like me too. Just email me the picture file after you scan it.
