This is not rotti-related, but I need help. As most of you know, I work for an animal hospital. This morning was one of the toughest mornings we’ve ever had there. I have cried until my eyes are swollen along with everyone else there- including clients.
We have a client who brought 4 dogs in to be euthanized this morning. She has a brain tumor and is dying. She has already placed 9 dogs and for whatever reason felt that these 4 would not do well in other homes. This was not an easy decision for her, but she knew these dogs better than anyone else. She even took them out for pizza before bringing them in. All her dogs have been well-loved.
She still has 3 left- 2 dachshunds (1 spayed female and 1 male possibly neutered) and 1 german shepherd mix (spayed female). I need to find a dachshund rescue and possibly a shepherd rescue (that takes mixes) or anyone else who can help ASAP! I don’t know much about the shepherd but will try to find out more soon. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE send this to anyone who may be able to help. I will be leaving for the weekend on Friday night but will have my sister check my mail until Sunday night. Please let me know if you have any suggestions! Thanks!!!!!!
