I thought I'd post this here, in case some of you missed the posts under the Chat topic.
Apparently, a lot of people had trouble getting into the chat "room" last Wednesday night. It turns out that only Jean, David ("Augie Dog") and I got in. But it was so much fun that I'm urging everyone to try again!
Apparently, you have to have Internet Explorer (yes, it is a Bill Gates conspiracy!) for the program to work. If you do, go to the chat topic and click on CHAT OPEN. A grey box will appear. If you don't have a DSL line, it can take many, many minutes for the grey box to resolve into the chat box. And there's no hourglass icon to let you know that things are going on behind the scenes. But they are! It took about 2 1/2 minutes for my computer to connect. Just wait and see whether it eventually comes up.
It's VOICE chat!! You can either type OR speak, and it's really a lot of fun.
