Lulu and Yogi are both rescues... they came in very different ways to join my family, but are both loved and cherished. My sweet Buffy died suddenly of an illness in Nov 2004. She was 11 yrs old and I had her since she was a puppy, a sweeter gentler pup was never born... her passing left a hole in our hearts...I decided a few weeks later to search for a rescue... I could help her she could help me !!!! One look at my beautiful Lulu's face and I knew she was the one for me... I contacted Heidi and two wonderful things happened !!!! I adopted Lulu who is a sweet angel that needed to be spoiled and loved...and I also met a wonderful friend, Heidi. Heidi introduced me to this board and also helped me step into rescue....next enters Yogi...an older guy.. a real gentleman... my first foster. I was determined to do this right !!! I was going to get him into great shape...give him lots of love and affection... show him what a great life lay ahead for him AND NOT get too attached !!!! Well....two more fosters came and were adopted fairly quickly... they were both young and cute....no home for Yogi appeared.... I was NOT going to get attached though...May, June, July, August still no home for Yogi...Hurricane Katrina came Yogi & I cuddled for hours on my son's couch in his Baton Rouge home wondering if I still had a home in Slidell....We returned home in September and a very nice lady contacted me and said Yogi looked like just the dog she was looking for !!!! To my surprise I realized I had failed Fostering 101... I was attached to Yogi... he had become MY dog and was part of My family....sooo I may not be a good foster mom, but I know I am a good hoomom !!!! I love my whole gang they make my life full and happy !!!! I am so happy that I found rescue................

You are an awesome loving foster mom too. Yogi was meant to live with you.
I could not of found a better forever mom for Lulu and such a loving caring person. You also help with transports and have helped quite a few fosters.
You have had a major disaster in your life, but look how wonderful you are all over coming the hurricane.
I and rescue are blessed to have you among us:hug2: :hug2:
