Bake at 400 F degrees 30 minutes.

Slice into small treat-sized portions and store in small ziploc bags in the refrigerator and freezer. (Some for now, some for later!)

I tried this one today for Beau because I didn't have any of the other ingredients from the other recipies...smells kinda gross but he loves them!

2 cups flour

2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4-5 T water

Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes for a tasty doggy treat!

but I sometimes make Heidi dog biscuits using a couple of the small jars of baby food - usually beef or pork or I've also used the squash or carrots. I then add cornmeal, skim milk powder, dried garlic, whole wheat flour - enough to make it into a dough-like consistency. Drop by spoonfuls onto sprayed cookie sheets and bake.

I make these for Taffy, as well as for my DIL's dogs, and even her cat, Copper, loves them. Taffy is absolutely :party6: over them. Keep them in the fridge. You can freeze them for up to a year.....yeah, as if they would last that long

1 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup margarine
1 cup Boiling water
3/4 cup cornmeal
1 tablespoons sugar
2 chicken bouillon cubes (I dissolve mine in the boiling water)
1/2 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 egg, beaten
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour.

I N S T R U C T I O N S
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
Grease cookie sheets.

In large bowl, combine rolled oats, margarine and boiling water; let stand 10 minutes. Stir in cornmeal, sugar, bouillon, milk, cheese and egg; mix well. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Add flour 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition to form a stiff dough.

On floured surface, knead in remaining flour until dough is smooth and no longer sticky, 3 to 4 minutes. Roll or pat out dough to 1/2 inch thickness, cut with bone shaped cookie cutter. Place 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 325 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes on until golden brown. Cool completely. Store loosely covered. Makes 3 1/2 dozen large dog biscuits or 8 dozen small dog biscuits.

I roll some of the dough thinner to make smaller cookies (less calories for begging puppies) but cook them all about 40 minutes. I haven't found a doggie yet that hasn't loved these.

It made a pretty decent sized batch.... both Elmo and his step brother, Rocky, enjoyed their delicious treats...can't wait to try some of these other recipes!

Super easy dog biscuits: (Makes about 3 dozen 3" biscuits)

13 oz. can of dog food (this is easier if it is a ground food rather than a chunky food)
2 cups whole wheat flour (if you're dog can't handle wheat, you could probably use something like oat flour)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Stir the dog food and flour in a small bowl until it is well mixed and forms like dough.
Roll on lightly floured surface to 1/4" thickness.
Cut into shapes your dog prefers.
Place biscuits on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Store in wax paper when cooled.
