Does anyone have a plastic exercise pen? I've been looking for a pen and found a plastic one (its by north states) that would be a good size and easy to move around but am wondering if it could be easily tipped over. The metal ones I've found are either too small or too big, I dont have a good place to leave it so I'd need to move it around. Thanks.

I know that with my 4 mini wires a plastic one would be tooooo easily moved by the munchkins. What size were you wanting? Mine are easily stepped over and don't weigh much, they are metal and I'm planning (since they are permanently hooked together) on taking one connection apart and stringing them together for when all the children must stay in them longer than just to potty ie when hubby is gone and all must go to agility trials or dog shows with me. I do like them to have 'some' excercise and play time on these weekends besides our walks. My pens are I think 4 x 4 each.

the metal one I bought, may be configured in several shapes and sizes. It is made of 8 panels that are 2 feet wide. All the panels are permanently linked in a line, not a loop. so you can hook the end to another panel rather than the end to make it smaller, or use it in a straight line to block off an area in a semi-open floor plan. It also folds up together for easy storage and travel
it is made by midwest.

I bought it at petsmart.

The metal ones are easy to move around and can store in the back of a clsoet or under a bed. I have a 24" tall one and a 42" tall one. The 42" tall one can be awkward to move around due to it's size but is not bad. The typical design is to have eight 2' wide panels so the whole thing folds down into a package that is 2" x how ever many inches tall the pen is by about 1.5" thick. I've used the midwest brand of metal pens but there are other manufactures out there. If there are any dog shows near you they can be a great place to buy an x-pen. Prices are generally less and selection better than at you local store. The freight charges some of the mail order houses charge on x-pens are outrageous. When I got my 24" tall pen the mail order vendor was closing out the gold color pens so the price was great only about $30.00 but they charged $25 for shipping.
