The adoptable I mentioned under Adoption/Rescue has turned into 2. Two brothers. Have posted pics to some of my board friends for opinion. Can't post to the board, have to do emails, one at a time.
But you can help with your previous experiences. I am not that familiar with Dachshund Crosses. They are supposed to be wire and ?
I am a bit worried because they are also supposed to only be 2 months and already weigh 12 lbs. Both are males.
They look like butterballs but I have been told they are probably wormy. Lovely!
I must make up my mind in a couple of hours to have them pulled.
I will be fostering on a temporary basis. I also need to know the success rate on adoption of dachsie crosses. (They really are cute, but then puppies always are.)
Husband is okay with this no matter which way it goes. Great!
I will stick around waiting to hear from all of you.
Thanks so much,

I saved the attachments you sent on my hard drive then i uploaded them to photopoint... and viola here they are ... and such cuties too... Could be lab/dachshie cross or something... that would be my guess 12lbs at 8wks is too much for a dachsies even a standard wouldnt weigh that much yet.

They were originally supposed to be Dachsie/Cocker. Then someone said Dachsie/Chihuahua...NEVER! The owner of the dam (who was also turned in) said Cocker. So we are back to square one.
Have to tell the gals who went to the shelter and took the photos that they are on our BB. They will be thrilled.
I will tell you more when I see them in person.
Get ready for an announcement, tomorrow,
A very tired me.

Well, they sure are cute Roxanne. Bless you for taking them.
I personally didn't see any Cocker in there. But I'm not sure what they are.

Hi Roxane,
I don't know about the success rate of adopting mixes but you can be sure the dachshund character will be strong if not dominate. How could it not? How wonderful that your husband is agreeable. And knowing that they're brothers makes you feel much better about taking them. Wow, when are you going to get to see them? - g

My Belgian Tervuren is 7 months & weighs 45 lbs. At 8 wks, she weighed 16 lbs. (a little thin, not too bad), so I would estimate the pups' final weight to be somewhere around 35-40 lbs.
The ears don't hang like a hound OR a cocker, so I would guess something that has ears that stand or partly stand. They look familiar, but I just can't grab hold of it.
Corgi? Cocker mixed with terrier?
Must be Irish Kinardly (Kinardly tell what they are...)

Sorry I didn't get back to all of you. Lots on my plate. Regardless of what they turn out to be, the deed is done. You will find them residing under Da Brudders in Dachsie Tales. One is really fuzzy faced, more than shows in the photo. Sat on the floor with them and the smaller one immediately bounced into my lap. That is as much dachsie as I have seen so far.
We will all have to get around to naming them as soon as I have a handle on their personalities.
