Does anyone here show their doxies? I'm going to do jr handling when Timber is old enough. If anyone does, please give me some tips on this.

I show my own dogs as do others that I know are on this list. Those others may be already headed for or competing in the performance events of DCA's annual show that has already started. (Bad time of year for those of us that groom, though, so we don't get to go.)
If you have never been to a dog show or haven't been to many, I would sincerely suggest you search out your area for a local all-breed club or obedience club that also has handling classes. It is good for the dog to know what it is like AND, although it looks easy, handling and being judged on handling is NOT easy. Not in the beginning. The dog does not need to be show quality nor does it need to be a retired champion and it can be neutered (since it is not the item being judged) BUT it would make it easier on you if it was experienced at least a little bit.
I wish you luck!! Junior handling, from what I have been told, can be very rewarding but very competitive.
