I just wanted to thank everyone for the great posts from you guys. I just finished reading them today. Started to do it last week but couldn't finish. I am going to type this real fast so if there are many errors just over look them. Friday Brutus got real sick throwing up couldn't stand so Doug took him into the vet to send him to the Bridge. We felt that was the best before things got worse. Excuse me Kleenex break...ok well just wanted to let everyone know that I really appreciate there good wishes and I guess the whole cancer thing was a blessing indisguise, because that is what brought me to the DBB in the first place..Well I know he is in a better place and cancer free, but damn it makes me sad to not have him around. Thanks again for everything.

Patti, my heart just aches for you. Big Canadian cyber-hugs :hug2: coming your way. This will get easier with time but it sure hurts in the meantime. You did the very best thing for your baby by releasing him from his pain but of course that doesn't mean you will not grieve for him and miss him.

Oh Patti, when I saw this thread my heart was in my throat - I am so very sorry. Brutus was obviously a very special & brave boy, and I know you & your family must be in a great deal of pain - you are in my thoughts :hugs1: & :pray:ers. I am sure he is happily settled in at The Bridge now, where he has no pain or discomfort anymore; and is probably racing around with all our doggie angels as we speak... :candle:
