It's embarassing to see my name under so many topics, but...
2 foot comments:
1. Warren Eckstein (TV dog expert) mentioned the other day that dogs DO sweat on the soles of their feet. I wonder...this adds new meaning to our frito feet, doesn't it.
2. Gabby always points her little toes in a very ballerina like postion. At rest her feet are definitely not set for walking. Anyone else's dog who curls or points her toes?
Now Dan, he stands in more of a plie. Of course he also likes to show off the "family jewels" to use my mother's expression.
PS: when she walks, she wiggles unbelievably

Frankie is totally pigeon-toed at rest. His feet point out in opposite directions. Very silly.
Oscar has dainty feet and always has them properly pointed.
Oscar doesn't usually walk with his hind legs, he hops. The front legs move normally but the back ones move together.
The cartoon character that best represents Oscar is Pepe LePew. He is handsome, effeminate, constantly trying to kiss you, won't take no for an answer, hops around, sniffs flowers, thinks no one can resist him...

Hi Georgette:
Have about 10 minutes and then must get back to putting away Luau stuff. More about that later.
But I am horrified to get back to the board and find you have gone off the deep end! Foot fettish? Oh, my.
I will do nothing to encourage you in this direction, however, I will mention that viewed from the front, as Baylea is approaching, she walks just like Charley Chaplin. Going to fashion a small cane for her.
From the rear, as she is leaving, she swings her little hips in a most provocative way.
Greta, on the other hand, leads with her shoulders, as tho she is trying to exit a crowded subway train.
Love,
Roxane

Georgette! I fondle Wo's feeties when we're watching TV on the couch. He loves it.
His back ones look so delicate compared to the two great big stompers he calls his front feet.
When Wotan runs he scampers with the front and hops with the back ones. The back ones almost seem tied together. He scoots pretty fast though! (especially when the horse turns his way)
Soooooo- Roxane, what's with the extended vacation? Are you still roasting suckling pigs and rubbing cocoa nut oil on Baylea's fur? We're ready for a luau here in ol' WA state. We'll bring the Woodratpoipoi

i must admit, i'm a dachsie foot fondler i just can't seem to help myself! isobel had such cute fat furry frito feet that resistance is futile. they're so soft and squishy and frito-y. think i need therapy? actually, i find it to be relaxing to both isobel and myself. i fondle her feetises while watching tv or reading. sometimes when we nap, i rub her feet and it helps me fall asleep.
yikes, i have the illness worse than i thought. hmmm, confession is good for the soul; i no longer feel i am alone. maybe we should start a recovery group: ffa---frito feet anonymous.

....and I thought it was just me!! Yes, I too have been known to watch TV clutching one of Shelbie's "shovel paws". She has a very purposeful walk although from the back its pretty obvious she wouldn't be able to stop a pig in a passage as my Grannie used to say!!

Hello- my name is Sonja and I'm a dachsie foot handler! I just can't get over those cute fat feeties they have in the front and how they stand sort of funny with their feets splayed outwards when they sit.
I realize this fetish has taken over and I'm not in control of my addiction to those cute fritofeeties. The silly part is- I won't stop! Heheheheheheheeeeee!
Has anyone ever been put away for sniffing and squeezing doggie feet?

We are really in trouble here, folks. Between Sonja's woodrats poi and the fact that the fettish has crossed the Atlantic affecting Shelbie's Mom...
Where is that darned psychotic psychiatrist now that we need him? Last I heard he/she is now stalking Weinergal since she had blown his/her cover!
Good, I can come out from under the pineapple bush and within a few days be back to offer some desensitivity training. Hang in there, you have it in the choices you make, to work through your problems.
Trust me, http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/bounce.gif

Sometimes I fall asleep at night holding one of Annie's paws. Before we got Annie we read that we should handle her feet a lot so she wouldn't mind having her nails clipped. Well, she loves absolutely anything we do to her feet EXCEPT clip her nails!

Well, I NEVER massage my dachsies' feet. I'm just checking to see if they have any mats between their toes or their nails need clipped.
There's just something so soothing about playing with those velvet smooth paws or the fuzzy slipper wire footsies. I even like Katie's big ol' Catahoula feet.

What WASI worrying about? I actually avoided the word "feetsies or feeties" because I thought you guys might find it too affected. ? [I love that rolleyes smilie] Again, where was my mind?
Don't you love how much bigger the front ones are and then there are the dainty rear ones? And that stance - so purposeful yet graceful? And the intrigue of having 18 toes!
I've actually wondered if it's the dog or the fragrance that I so love...ah, but I digress. Now, for the anatomy of the feetsie...
-G
PS Who said "pigeon-toed"? Doesn't pigeon-toed mean toes that point inward? Of course Gabby's rear feet do that when she wiggles on her wormlike way.

Sonja, I made the mistake of fondling and sniffing wee frito feeties . . . .then passing them to someone who I thought was a dog lover and would understand what I was asking of them (not to mention the trust involved to even share a frito foot). How wrong I was
I now keep my sniffing and fondling to myself . . .except when I spill it all on this board

I can tell that this foot fettish thing has reached epdemic proportions. In an effort to find a cure for the malady, I gently took Baylea's front paw in hand and began to rub and sniff...ohhhhh, ahhhhh, what I have been missing all these weeks!
And that was only _one_ paw. After Baylea there will be Greta. As long as we keep this to ourselves I think we will be okay.
Thank you, Georgette, for pointing the way toward relieving negative feelings and any stress in our lives. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/dorky.gif

Hmmmm... I guess I need more exposure to pigeons. Maybe his feet look more like a seal's fins, splayed out sideways.
I like the 'stocking' look on the black and tan's. Frankie looks like he's wearing socks.

uhhhhhhh, guilty. Those big front paws are just to much. What is it about them?
Wait, I seen something about a group called DWD here. I don't know what it is but, do you think that this has something to do with them?

Ooooh! While I was getting my thousand dachsie kisses I chanced to sniff Wo-ties ears! Mmmmmmm! They smell fine too! Not as good a fritos, but comforting in a different way.
Yes,yes, I love the mask on black and tans. Are you aware of those little raised hair nobs that appear undrer the chin?
Anyone try armpits yet?
Roxane- those that yell the loudest about a habit usually are the worst ones.
Give in to temptation~~~~~lalalalalalalala...
Yes, it IS difficult to introduce non dachsie people to those great smell and feetie fetishes we all share. I think it's a case of denial

We do Mickey's arm pitties! He'll lay down waiting for us to do it. We'll give the pits a few good sniffs, and then we'll say "B-O" in a low droning voice. Mickey just goes crazy. He wags his tail furiously and gives us kisses...and then waits for us to do it again...

Oh, dear, Mickamack, we do the droning "B-O" thing at Annie, too! And she goes crazy and wags and kisses. This must be some sort of dachsie password--heaven knows what they think we're saying!

http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/spotting.gif I do Isobel's little pits too. There is a strong burst 'o frito in the summer then! Her head is just as addictive, tho. It smells like cedar shavings (clean ones) and I cannot get enough.

Sonja I'm thinking of the housemates who by now participate in these antics - Like, what if we told MIck's (Karen's) husband Chris that we know he sniffs Mickey's underarms etc. What if this were known where he works? What would he say to Karen about writing this for the world to see?

It's okay, Georgette. I'm here, for all of you. Now that I too am addicted, I understand only too well.
Catharsis is good for the soul. Jean has provided a _safe_ place for our fetish confessions.
Unless, what I have heard about the psychotic psychiatrist doing a paper for the Vienna Weiner Conference, called "Dachsie Footlings", our secrets will not be made public.
I suspect that Shelbie's Mom is one of the few who will know the meaning of "footlings" without consulting a dictionary!
My original thought that desensitization would be the solution was in error. I had been under "F" in my diagnostic manual looking for an answer. Rechecking I found that was for; "Fear of Flying".
Since there is no methodology to treat our collective problem, we can pursue our harmless activity with enthusiasm. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/bounce.gif

As Frankenfurter said in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"- "Don't think it, dooooo it!"
We can no longer justify, deny or paint this sickness with pretty pictures. We must admit we LOVE Feeties.
Tonite I tried the "B-O pitties" on Wotan. He loved it and got all excited. I think this may be an universal with dachsies!!!!
I can see in my mind's eye, all of us sitting at home with our dachsies smushed to our nostrils, inhaling like demented glue huffers. Maybe we could bottle the fragrance?

I did the "B-O wiener pits" last night with Isobel. She loved it and I swear I heard her giggle http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/lol.gif Her tail was swishing so hard side to side that I was afraid she'd lift off in a fit of ecstasy. . . ya know, like that cartoon character who used it's twirling tail to fly.
I would be comfortable saying that Isobel enjoyed that experiment bunches.
I have friends who are in mental health and have visisted this site. They came across this one as "foot fetish" naturally caught their roving disorder-seeking eye. Well, they think we have an emotional disorder and they really think we need help. Then again, as I pointed out, we have Dachsies and we like where we're at very much, thank you all the same. If this is insanity, well, it's nice here with frito feet and Dachsie B-O Pits. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/nuts.gif
They're just envious!
