What Type of Coat does your Dachsie have? (Can Vote More Than Once of Course)

I'm sure this has been done before, but I just thought it would be interessting to see what coat is most popular on this board and which is most unique! There are only three, right? Longhair, Smooth & Wirehair...I was going to throw color in, but I'm not sure I know of all the possible colors!

I have two smooth red, one smooth chocolate dapple and a wild boar wirehair.

Oscar is a black/tan smooth and Buck is a red smooth.

Buck looks fawn colored in the lighting of this picture - but he is definitely red!! :). He looks like a little mouse with black whiskers.

Willow Rose is a red smooth. (A dapple really, but her dappling is very hard to see.) I also chose Wire because my first Dachshund, Duffy R. McTuffin, was a scruff-butt girl. :)

2 long-haired minis here. Julian is Black and Cream. Misty is English Cream.
Even thought they both have long hair...their coats are as different as night and day. Julian has that 'finger stuck in a light socket', thing going on. Misty's is as straight and soft and smooth, as Julian's is unruly, flying every, which way, and curly.

Our two purebreds are Josh- Longhair but clipped for summer and Auggie- smooth. Gabe is mix supposedly dachs/terrier and supposedly mom was a long hair but no real clue what he is! Love him anyway. He is very fuzzy, clipped for summer too, and looked a bit like a wire when we got him but now is more terrier looking or vet says he looks more like a mini schnauzer.

Lexie is part Corgi, so she's mostly a red smoothie SH (with VERY soft, thick fur) with a little cream here and there; Jack has more coarse (short) hair, and I guess is a red with black overlay.

Misty is smooth red, but her nose (and now face) is sure getting frosty. She's ten years old, and the frost has been there for several years, but this past year has gotten much more noticable.

My Pupster is a HALF and HALF....


He has WIREHAIR Parents and he is a WILD BOAR COLORING with a semi Smooth coat. there is a 2 inch wide strip along his spine that is coarse like a wires but smooth other wise his whlole body is super smooth and soft.
